August Spice Club: Za'atar
Spice Club is a monthly take-and-make craft for adults. Swing by Freeport Community Library to pick up the month's unique spice and try one of the included recipes, or seek out your own inspiration!
The featured August spice is Za'atar spice blend. You haven't lived until you've had fresh hummus with a hearty drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkling of za'atar, and this is one dish easily reproduced at home. Spice Club kits include pre-portioned spice as well as regional/cultural background and at least two recipes printed on cardstock. We've also recently added a section on nearby culturally authentic restaurants, so you may sample that month's greatness in full! Pickup begins Friday, August 26 @ 10:00AM and will continue until supplies run out. This take-and-make craft is free and open to the public.
