Fungi of the Forest In-Person
Join us for an educational walk through the woods to learn about foraging and fungi with local mycologist Michael DeLola. Please come prepared for a trail walk (appropriate shoes, bug spray, etc.).
Free and open to the public; participation is limited to 20 individuals, signup is required and you must indicate how many people are in your group in order to reserve everyone's spot.
The specific trail we will choose is TBA; if you register now, you will get an email with the location once it has been selected. This program is made in partnership with Freeport Conservation Trust.
Michael DeLola is an amateur mycologist, nature photographer and citizen scientist daylighting as a Technology Engineer at Bowdoin College, where he can be found photographing fungi and infinitesimal spiders on the quad during his lunch break.
