Rewild Maine Shelter Building

Rewild Maine Shelter Building In-Person

If you were lost or stuck in the wilderness, what’s the first thing you should do? Make shelter. Shelter should be priority before food or water! Zack from Rewild Maine will teach this key survival strategy outside Freeport Community Library on Tuesday, February 7. It will start promptly at 2:30 and last 2 hours.

This workshop is for kids in grades 6 and up (ages 11+), and spots are limited to 12 people. The group will build either snow or woodland shelters based on what’s available.

This event is free and open to the public. The Library thanks LL Bean for sponsoring this program. For questions or directions to the library, visit www.freeportlibrary.com, call 865-3307, or stop by the library at 10 Library Drive, Freeport, ME 04032.
